# In-N-Out Reveals Six New Locations Across Six States

The California burger institution is pressing eastward again, adding six 'coming soon' pins to its map — from a three-story showpiece on the Las Vegas Strip to its deepening push into Tennessee.

For a chain that spent decades as a Southern California secret, six "coming soon" pins at once is a statement.

## Six locations, six states

In-N-Out has quietly added six new locations to its website, spanning six states: Hillsboro, Oregon; Las Vegas, Nevada; Madison, Tennessee; St. George, Utah; Timnath, Colorado; and Vancouver, Washington, [KTLA reported](https://ktla.com/news/in-n-out-reveals-6-new-locations-across-5-states/). As is the chain's habit, no firm opening dates came with them.

The Las Vegas entry may be the flashiest — a planned three-story restaurant on the Strip with outdoor seating and a merchandise shop rather than a drive-thru. The Tennessee location in Madison, near Nashville, is under construction and targeting a summer opening, [The Daily Meal reported](https://www.thedailymeal.com/2138084/in-n-out-burger-more-locations-2026/).

## Tennessee is the bigger story

The eastward push runs deeper than a few restaurants. In-N-Out is building an Eastern Territory office in Franklin, Tennessee, south of Nashville, expected to open by late 2026, and owner and president Lynsi Snyder has said she is relocating to the state, [Restaurant Business Online reported](https://www.restaurantbusinessonline.com/operations/n-out-open-first-east-coast-territory-office-tennessee). The company has described a long-term plan for two hubs by 2030 — Baldwin Park, California, in the west and Franklin in the east.

## The rule that shapes the map

In-N-Out expands slowly for a reason: it does not freeze its food. Patties are ground at company facilities in California and Texas, potatoes are cut in-store, and refrigerated company trucks make daily deliveries. That forces the chain to keep new restaurants within roughly a few hundred miles of a distribution center — a constraint that kept it a Western brand for decades. Only after its Texas hub came fully online did stores east of the Mississippi become feasible; Tennessee already has several. Asked about Florida, long rumored as a target, Snyder has said the company is still saying no.

## Slow and steady, then a sprint

Founded in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder in Baldwin Park, In-N-Out stepped into Nevada in 1992 and only gradually into Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Colorado. It remains privately held and franchises nothing — a discipline it credits for its consistency. California still has nearly 300 locations. Once construction starts, an In-N-Out typically takes several months to open, meaning some of the newly announced restaurants could serve their first Double-Doubles before the year is out.
