Hawthorne Man Pleads Guilty to Fake Ransom Demands in the Nancy Guthrie Case

A Los Angeles County man has pleaded guilty to sending bogus ransom demands to the family of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie who vanished from her Arizona home in February.
Prosecutors say the man was an opportunistic imposter with no role in her disappearance, which remains unsolved.
