A judge grants a fifth season to the class of 2022 and the NCAA loses its new eligibility rule

A federal judge in Denver granted a class-wide preliminary injunction on Friday giving Division I athletes from the high school class of 2022 a fifth season in 2026-27, cutting across the NCAA's new five-for-five eligibility rule.
It is a temporary order, not a final ruling, and an appeal is expected.
