Infantino drops the 20 billion dollar plan to sell a stake in the World Cup
- FIFA president Gianni Infantino abandoned a proposal to raise $4.2 billion by selling roughly a fifth of a new unit holding FIFA's events, the World Cup among them, at a $20 billion valuation.
- UEFA had voted to boycott FIFA competitions over it, Asia's confederation called it unacceptable, his own senior adviser resigned and FIFA's chief operating officer said staff had been deceived.
