Dave Kendall, who made MTV a home for alternative music, dies at 63

Dave Kendall, the British music journalist who created and first hosted MTV's '120 Minutes,' the late-night show that for years was many Americans' gateway to alternative and indie music, has died at 63.
Long before streaming, his Sunday-night program was where a generation first heard the bands that would reshape rock.
