Trump calls for ABC and NBC to lose their licenses after they skip his speech

After ABC and NBC declined to carry his primetime election speech live, President Trump said the two networks should lose their broadcast licenses.
The demand collides with how the system actually works: the FCC licenses individual local stations, not networks, and cannot strip them over editorial choices without running into the First Amendment.
