New York sues Kalshi over sports contracts and California tribes press the same argument
- New York's attorney general sued the prediction market Kalshi on Friday, calling it an unlicensed gambling operation and asking for at least $36 billion.
- Kalshi says it is a federally regulated exchange that no state can shut down.
- The same argument is being fought in a dozen states, and in California three tribes say the contracts violate federal Indian gaming law.
