LA Metro moves to give an actual rider a vote on its board

  • The Metro Board voted Thursday to advance its first-ever seat for a regular transit rider, plus a second rider or rider-advocate seat among the mayor's appointees.
  • Both would have full votes on the 13-member board that steers a nearly $10 billion agency.
