Senators press Hegseth on the cost of the Iran war, and a toll now put at 17 dead

At a hearing on a $95 billion package with $70 billion for the Iran war, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced questions on cost and disclosure.
The account carries the clearest casualty figures yet: 17 U.S.
service members killed and over 100 injured since early July, near 450 injured since the war began.
