A crash involving a Waymo in Pico-Union hospitalizes one, with the robot car's role still unclear

A two-car crash involving a Waymo autonomous vehicle on Venice Boulevard in Pico-Union early Sunday sent one person to the hospital and left four others treated at the scene, the LAPD says.
The cause is under investigation, and the report does not establish what the Waymo's role was, or whether it was carrying a passenger.
