House GOP Revolt Blocks Defense Bill, Freezing Johnson's Floor for a Second Week

A bloc of 14 House Republicans joined Democrats on Tuesday to sink a procedural rule and block the annual defense bill, the second straight week that conservative holdouts have frozen Speaker Mike Johnson's floor.
At the center of the fight is a demand over how to advance President Trump's SAVE America voter-eligibility bill.
