FDA Lets Zyn Be Marketed as Lower-Risk Than Cigarettes, in a First for Nicotine Pouches

The FDA has authorized the maker of Zyn to advertise its nicotine pouches as a lower-risk alternative to cigarettes — the first such 'modified risk' clearance for the fast-growing product category.
Regulators stressed the pouches are not safe, and anti-tobacco groups warned about youth use.
